This better be good!

A year ago today, I was sitting in the hospital waiting room. The pain had gone away, and I was beginning to doubt my need to be there, especially with no insurance. I looked at Karen, "This better be good."

At the time I had a friend training for the Long Beach Marathon. She was running to raise money for the Lymphoma society. As Karen and I headed out the door we joked with her about it being Cancer. Cause, I mean.... who really gets cancer? How random would that be?

Here's something I wrote back in Sept. Today I found myself hating every second of work. How soon we forget.

I was taking a patient to do an MRI at Norris Cancer institute in LA yesterday and he had a t-shirt on that stated, "Cancer Sucks".
