a recycled war

a man in long beach as declared war on the recycling bins on my street. I found him, days ago, displacing the articles in the bin on to the street, sidewalk and lawn in front of my apartment. I gave him the benifit of the doubt, assuming he was looking for cash flow opportunities. He proceeded to kick the boxes about, breaking the bottles, crushing cans and rolling out a carpet that had been left out for that days collection. Distruction complete, he then walk on. I and a few neighbors called the cops and cleaned the mess. Yesterday, after knocking over the bin again, I decided to confront him.

"hey man, you gonna pick that up?" I'm ignored...

"I think you left something back here."He turns looks back, then continues on...

"Hey buddy, you gonna pick that up?" oh yeah I called him buddy.

He turns again, and shouts, "NOOOOOOO!!"

In mockery, I'm not sure why, I raise my fist in the air and shout "Defiant!"
He stares at me, walks on. I pick up the mess.

I think this is war.
