me of late

first things first. MGMT...one song was on while I was writing, about 2 posts ago. That is all I've really listened to. I'm sure it's great, what I heard was, but I just wanted to come clean about that. I haven't been listening to it non-stop for weeks on end.

Well, here's the me of late....

My district is currently reviewing, auditing, if you will, the seniority ranking of classified staff. 99 certificated staff (teachers) and 3 vice principals have already been laid off. I am currently ranked 80-something out of 150-something. I think the implication is the highest number loses. But I'm not really sure how it works. People seem to be worried, but then those people seem to be those in the 1-10 ranking. The way I see it they should be. They're old, in the way, and they cost the most money. zing!

But seriously folks... I just find budget cuts and State deficits, way to much for little old me to worry about. what happens happens. At least I've got shoes on my feet.

My sister is moving to Juneau, Alaska. She's a military wife. They do things like that.

My mom doesn't have a job. And that's never good. She has a home, which initially sounds good but given the not-job, turns out not to be so good.

My brother is applying for engineering jobs that help mankind save the world from itself. I think the latest is something to do with solar heating. he currently works to save the water from mankind's feces, garbage and petroleum waste.

My dad is a happy camper.

My wife is reading a crime novel.

I spoke with the billionaire last night and we shared information, news, happenings and music. Today felt like the monday after a Church retreat. I'm still running off the high. but soon I will look at a map and a calendar and realize how far New York really is. Solution: more retreats, more often.

the bravo is recording. I had a most excellent time working with andy. I'm looking forward to you hearing it. Speaking of you, Who are You?
