moving?

There is something so americonic about stopping by for a mid-week, improumtu visit on the not-so-virtual porch. the idealized conversation with friends at the local dive, sharing community with the ones you love and love loving not because you were born to them, but because you chose them. I'm talking friends, here, man! The cream of my crop, the unskinniny bop! It makes you feel good just thinking about it.
Unfortunately, In answer to the questing alluded to in the title...
We remain torn. You LA folk are beyond wonderful, it's just so unfortunate that you are LA folk, not in the sense that LA defines you, but rather, your location.

are we moving? We're not too sure anymore. We had one, and only one reason, for a departure: to be closer to friends. unfortunately, we can't afford more cash for less place, less ocean breeze, and a considerably longer commute to our jobs/schools every day.

Perhaps you are reading this from a far away land and find this discussion a bit ridiculous. your are right. An hour away really isn't that far for good friends and good times. But man the lady and I have gots to find us a place with some parking.

Recently the discussion of "relocation" has shifted to one of purchase. The prices around here make it seem like a possibility. And we like the idea of possibility.

does the idea of purchase only pertain to lbc, or are your horizons expandable?

Stay in place with parking. Long Beach and surrounding areas (minus Compton, Wilmington and Lakewood) are where it's at...really. Kurt and I will be shooting in San Pedro a lot, so, I'll come see you guys...but you already know this, and I'm probably not the "friends" your talking about anyway. I am the lone ranger, I do what I want when I want...and I want to see my friends this weekend play music.
Cheers to Long Beach!!
