As you may have read, we had a dog for a couple of weeks. After many issues we were forced into facing the fact that he could not remain in our possesion. But he left us with some great memories, a bag full of Dog Treats, some tears and a few scars on my left hand.
Paper Plane had a show in Fresno this past weekend. hell of a show. The show was on Saturday on what happened to be the hottest day of the year, 110 degrees. Sound check was at 3:00 in the middle of a big, open, hot field. It was the hottest 20 minutes of my life. In the end, we played a marothan show for a bunch of mormons in the hottest of hottness. But I got paid 250 for the whole thing. Does that qualify as selling my soul? (FYI: Next show at Dipiazza's on July 10th, Knitting Factory on the 20th)
We've started summer school at Hope School. It's Awesome. I may not be selling neon, building websites, or making movies but I get toplay all morning long and I'm done by 1:30. Also, just applied to a full time position. If so inclined, pray. Not much difference in pay, but benifits are good.
School in the fall is looking more realistic. I've been accepted to Cal State Dominguez Hills. Yeah Carson. Soon my dream of going to school in every uninspired town in Southern California will be realized. High School in Brea and La Habra, College in La Mirada and Carson. If Only Lawndale had a Graduate School...
